Home Sweet Home
From the flyer for the show "Symbol by Dave King" at Goteblud, San Francisco: "In 1977, In the wilds of Essex, England, Dave King created a logo for his friend Penny's impassioned manifesto: "Christ's Reality Asylum" . In the intervening 34 years, what became the Crass symbol has been emblazoned on records, flags, clothing and human bodies. This exhibit will be the first time the artist has shown original sketches for the logo, alongside alternate versions and contemporary "remixes". Dave King now lives in San Francisco and is a graphic artist and photographer." The photo shows the marking out of what is now a ten foot diameter, red and black, Crass symbol wall drawing. I'm totally stoked to have been commissioned to photograph Dave King's installation at Goteblüd San Francisco, CA

First batch of C41 of photo brunch. We cranked quite a bit by the end of the day. I shot this photo to finish off this roll then tossed it straight into the processing drum. Love that almost instant feed back with analog photography. DIY processing (and soon printing) is so liberating! San Francisco, CA

If you're in SF, swing by Ratio3 in the mission and go check out this Ryan McGinley photography exhibit. This photo is almost 3 meters tall. ryanmcginley.com/
While carrying the six gallon carboy inside, the straps on the sling broke. The carboy exploded on impact!! At least the garden got to taste the coffee bourbon stout.
Waiting for the hot break. "Hot break is the protein that coagulates as foam on top of the wort before the boil starts, and as it reaches a boil it "breaks" due to its collected mass and falls out to the bottom of the kettle." Home Brewing WIki
I snapped this a few weeks ago. It appears that Sarah & I share some weirdo photographic mind link.
Clearly not the night to wander aimlessly in the Mission to get a burrito.
I'm pretty sure this is the same firetruck that people commandeered moments earlier on Mission St. They were counting gear and checking to see if anything was missing: twitter.com/#!/burritojustice/status/29440664466

Some how I didn't get a chance to take a photo of this Aussie while we were crossing paths in Slovakia & Poland last summer. I met Dara in Ždiar, Slovakia at the Ginger Monkey hostel. I was going to pop back into Germany for Oktoberfest shenanigans but realized it was a loooong way just to drink overpriced German beer. So I decided to head to Kraków which was only a few hours away via bus (passing through Zakopane). My main motivation to go to Kraków was to see Aphex Twin live in an old communist steel mill!! It just happens that Dara was also heading to Kraków so I suggested we meetup and go to the concert together. Dara had no idea of what she just signed up for :) Needless to say, she had an eye opening experience. Long story short, she is super awesome and I am so glad she has decided to stay in San Francisco to look for work
I was minding my own business walking through the mission when out of nowhere this Bugatti Veyron is sitting at a stoplight. I had to react fast hence the shakey Zapruderesque footage. After watching the clip a few times I realized that's Jenerific standing on the opposite side of the street :) For those that don't know, the Veyron is one of the fastest cars in the world, 253mph (407kph)... www.youtube.com/watch?v=jk1t6S737Cs

I love how my friend luke will walk into any pizza shop, arcade, bar, whatever that contains a Ms Pac-Man machine and won't stop till he has the new high score. It's pretty amazing to watch.
